Registering Your Child

We understand that choosing the right nursery for your child is one of the most important decisions you'll make as a parent. At Little Tots, we've designed our registration process to be straightforward and supportive, giving you plenty of opportunities to get to know us and ensure we're the right fit for your family.

Your Journey with Us

  • Step 1: Initial Enquiry

    Start by filling out the enquiry form on our website. This helps us understand your child's needs, your preferred start date, and the days you're looking for. It only takes a few minutes to complete.

  • Step 2: Visit Our Nursery

    Within 2 working days, we'll get in touch to invite you for a personal tour of Little Tots. We encourage you to bring your child along – even if they're just a baby – so they can get a feel for the environment too.

    Tour Times Available:

    9:30am or 10am - See our morning activities in full swing

    2pm - Experience our afternoon routines and play

    During your visit, you'll meet our team, see our learning environments, and get answers to all your questions. Don't worry if you need more than one visit – we're always happy to welcome you back.

  • Step 3: Fee Information

    After your visit, we'll send you detailed fee information based on how many days and sessions you would like your child to attend the nursery each week. 

  • Step 4: Securing Your Place

    If we have availability for your preferred dates, we'll invite you to officially register your child with us. This involves:

    A £100 registration fee (covers administrative costs)

    Agreeing on your child's start date

    Confirming your chosen days and sessions

  • Step 5: Preparing for Your Start Date

    6-8 weeks before your child's first day, we'll:

    Ask you to pay the first month's fees in advance to confirm your place

    Arrange three settling-in visits to help your child feel comfortable:

    Visit 1: You stay with your child the entire time (1 hour) 

    Visit 2: You stay briefly, then let your child get adjusted by themselves (1 hour) 

    Visit 3: Your child stays for their full session independently

    We understand every child is different. If your child needs more time to settle, we're happy to arrange additional visits to ensure they feel secure and ready.

  • Step 6: Funding and Financial Support

    Before you start, we'll remind you to:

    Apply for your government funding code (this can take a few weeks, so we recommend applying early)

    Check with your employer about any childcare benefits they offer

    Sign up for Tax-Free Childcare if you're eligible
